
Overview
This module focuses on understanding and supporting student regulation through a trauma-informed lens. Participants will explore how stress and trauma impact behaviour and learn to reframe behaviours as responses to underlying needs. Building on this foundation, the module introduces practical, classroom-based strategies such as connection-first approaches, creating safe and calming spaces, and using visual supports, routines, and transitions to promote regulation. Participants will gain tools and strategies to create supportive, predictable environments that help students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.
